Graeter's: A Hometown Favorite

Oh, Graeter's. So many fond memories of you over the years. Grade school years you were the spot to hang out at after plays and games. I remember my whole class being at Graeter's, snacking on those delicious iced cookies and piles of ice cream on our cones. Growing up, it was always a special place to go and brings back so many good memories.

Now, as an adult, I can still cherish those childhood memories of Graeter's goodness because luckily, I can now drive myself to a store nearby, and I can just go to my local grocery store and buy pints upon pints of different flavors of the best ice cream around. Yeah, so Ben & Jerry's has the creative going on. And I love a bowl of Homemade cookies 'n cream ice cream too. (Both Homemade and Graeter's are local companies in Cincinnati so I like to support both, plus they legit have the best ice cream). But let's face it, Graeter's has the #1 cookies 'n cream ice cream if you ask me, and I die over their caramel flavored ice cream. The best caramel ice cream of all time. Seriously. Don't believe me? Just order some and you'll see what I'm talkin about.

So of course I was all over the chance to review their new flavor, Black Cherry Chocolate Chip. I received a 6-pack sampler in the mail (yes, it can be shipped with dry ice to keep it frozen!) with four pints of the new flavor, one pint of Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip (one of their most popular), and one pint of Vanilla Chocolate Chip. Well, PJ ate one whole pint the day it arrived so that should tell you how good it is. But to his defense, it's really easy to eat a pint of this stuff. One minute it's there and the next, you're looking down at an empty container. I always love cherry ice cream, and Graeter's is so creamy, rich, flavorful and made with heavy cream, sugar, fresh black cherries and loaded with their signature dark chocolate chunks. It is made by churning two gallons at a time in a French Pot and then hand-packed by the pint.

Now don't be sad if you don't live in Cincinnati like I do. You can still order some and have it shipped right to your front door. Seriously? Ice cream shipped to your front door?

I may have died and gone to ice cream heaven.

Yep, confirmed. Graeter's has the best ice cream. Don't try to go against this, you will lose :)

Disclaimer: I received samples of Graeter's ice cream for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Peace, and bacon grease!

I would love to get some Graeters to review! Especially coconut chip-my favorite!

I'll have to try them if I come up to the Cincinnati Eggfest this year.
