My first giveaway!!!!


It's long overdue, but it's finally here.... my very first giveaway! To celebrate a year of blogging and to show my appreciation to all of you readers out there. I thought about what to give you guys and I knew I wanted it to be a cookbook, but which one? After much deliberation, I decided on...

Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook: 100 Great Recipes, Photographs, and Voices

















 ... to honor all of the fellow food bloggers out there! I can only dream that one day one of my recipes would end up in this cookbook. Oh, to dream a little dream.
 

To enter the giveaway you must:
1. Become a follower of this blog and leave me a comment, so I can check out your blog too, or let me know if you already are!

For an extra entry:
2.  Leave a comment telling me what your favorite cookbook is and why.
3.  Blog about this giveaway and post the link to it.

(Separate comment for each)

That's all!

Be sure to leave a way to contact you, by email or your blog. This giveaway is open to US citizens only (sorry international friends!). It will remain open from today, July 7th until July 16th at midnight EST. Once the giveaway has ended, I will select a winner randomly. I'll then email the winner who will have 48 hours to respond, and if not then I will choose another winner.

I haven't gotten a chance to go through my own copy of the cookbook yet, so [winner] let me know how you like it!

    Congrats on one year! I love cookbooks, and to be honest my favorites are the ones I have from various churches and schools. All the recipes are family favorites, so you know they are good!

    It is way too hard to pick one favorite cookbook? The one I have made the most out of would be Pioneer Womans, but my favorite would have to be my Grandma's super old Betty Crocker cookbook!!!

    My favorite cookbook is called Mama Agata "simple and genuine " Italian family recipes. I took a cooking class in Italy and they have recently come out with this cookbook - it's amazing!

    my favorite "cookbook" is the one my bridesmaids put together for me at my bridal shower. all the guests put their favorite recipes in it and it has been my go to ever since ... i think it is what got me hooked on finding new recipes.

    My favorite cookbook? That's tough. I almost said any of Rebecca Rather's Pastry Queen cookbooks, but I would have to go back further to Martha Stewart's original (published in 1982) Entertaining cookbook. I read that one over and over, like a great novel.

    My favorite cookbook is an older one, first published in 1991 called FOR GOODNESS TASTE. I'm not sure if they even sell it anymore, but that is the first book that really got me motivated to try new things, other than my meatloaf and mashed potatoes type menu.

    Favorite Cookbook,ummmm? Pink Princess Cupcakes by Barbara Beery. Maybe because I just got it and it is soooooo cute. However the most functional cookbook I have is "How to Cook Everything" by Mark Bittman, just a good go-to cookbook when I need to cook something I have no idea about! Martha Stewart Cupcakes is another fav or mine!

    My favorite cookbook.....hmmm....{there's too many to choose from!} I guess I will say "The New Best Recipe" from the editors of Cook's Illustrated (America's Test Kitchen). Pretty much fail-proof recipes, since they've tested each one like a million times! :)

    One of my favorite cookbooks is Barefoot Contessa's Family Style. It's where I learned to make meatballs, chicken pot pie, and my kids' favorite mac-n-cheese. I love her roasted winter vegetables that you can use the leftovers to make soup!

    I love all kinds of cook Books...But I LOVE Gooseberry Patch Cook Books, because they usually have the recipes that I would cook on an everyday bases!

    My favorite cookbook at the moment is Stuffed Cougar Too. It's a local cookbook with recipes from a bunch of moms. The original version wasn't so healthy, so this version is a little LITER. :) http://homesandbabies.blogspot.com

    My favorite cookbook is one that my grandmother made for me. It's my favorite for 2 reasons 1) It's all of her best recipes and 2) It's in her hand writing.....one I will cerish forever and ever!!

    Thanks for dropping me a line, Desi! I don't know if this counts as a cookbook, but I'm a huge fan of Dale Degroff's CRAFT OF THE COCKTAIL. The recipes are great and all, but I really learned about garnishes, appropriate glasses, and why James Bond should really have his martini stirred, not shaken.

    My favorite cookbook at the moment is The Flavor Bible. It's not really a cookbook per se (I just reviewed it on my blog) but it's helped me with some exciting experiments in the kitchen :) Of course, I'd love to give the Foodista cookbook a try!

    Hmm, my favorite cookbook, that is a hard one! I really like my Betty Crocker Wedding Cookbook. It's got a lot of beautiful recipes in it and it's really special to me because it was a wedding gift, lol!

    I have so many cookbooks. I collect so many different kinds. But lately one of my favorites is Southern Plate. It contains down home, southern, like my grandma used to make kind of recipes!
